This is an analog ride. Skeggs does not allow e-bikes.

The Ride
Come enjoy some fast, flowy, grin-inducing singletrack, a beautiful forest, and a good bit of climbing at Skeggs. Route TBD, depends on group. I have a couple plans from which we can choose. Figure about 2200 to 2800 feet of climbing, depending on our route choice.

Start Time
We meet at 4:45. Wheels roll at 5:00. This ride does do not wait for late riders at the start, so if you're late, we'll catch you next time! Once the ride starts, we re-assemble at every trail junction.

Is This Ride for Me?
If you are not sure if this ride is appropriate for you, please message me thru the app. I'm more than happy to answer any questions or help you level set!

First, however, please take a moment to read our Ride Rating Guide. Short answer is:

  • B pace = Moderate, not breaking records but comfortable pushing yourself. A few breaks and regroups. Able to ride 2+ hours with minimal breaks.
  • Intermediate - More Difficult (IMBA Blue Square ■). This means narrower trails, 2’ wide typical or more. Some loose surfaces. Obstacles 8” or taller that are not avoidable, roots, rocks, etc. Larger avoidable obstacles present. Bridges 2’ wide, unavoidable may lack railings. Long durations of climbing, steep sections common. Examples are John Nicholas Trail, Demo Flow, Waterdog Lake, Santa Teresa.

The guide calls Skeggs Advanced. Hmmm. I'll respectfully disagree, there's really nothing technical you can't easily walk at Skeggs. Depending on route, there are some tricky rocky bits but they're easy to avoid. The main consideration here is pace and elevation. We will descend quickly. We'll climb at a B pace.

If you're a beginner rider or if 2500 feet of climbing sounds like pushing it, we'd love to see you when you're a bit more ready!
