What we’re about:
I have a few definitions to describe my goal for this group…
Amazing - To inspire awe, admiration, or wonder.
Midlife - The central period of a person's life
Adventure - To do something that is unusual, exciting, and brave; to have the confidence to explore oneself.
This group is open to individuals in the Valley between the ages of 50-60’s, that are not, upon requesting membership, in a committed relationship with another individual. It is for anyone who genuinely wants to make connections, and hopefully, some lifelong friends through sharing common interests and experiences. My goal is to develop a group that is more symbiotic than current typical singles groups. The events are to enjoy positive, upbeat experiences with fellow group members.
If you are willing to participate in events and willing to contribute to the overall well-being of fellow group members, to give them… and yourself… a sense of belonging and community, then please join us!
Your RSVP is your word that you will attend the activities, and all that I ask is that you please respect it. Of course, I understand that last minute changes in life happen, and they will interfere with attendance at an event; simply change your RSVP as soon as possible enabling someone else to attend the event if there is a waiting list.
The Ugly Rules:
There are 3 hard and fast rules in order to be accepted into and maintain your membership with this group:
First: A current, clear picture of your face is required. The host(s) must be able to recognize you from across a room. Without a picture, you will not be accepted.
Second: This is not a trolling site for pick-ups. Unsolicited contact to another member of this group is completely prohibited. If you have not met them in person, then you may not contact them through this site. No one wants this type of behavior and you will be immediately, without warning, eliminated from the group and your meetup profile will be banned.
Third: Drama and animosities at events or posted on this site aren't welcome.
The individuals in this group are very good people that want to enjoy the company of like-minded members. With that, please be aware that lack of activity for more than 4 consecutive months (which is nothing more than checking in on the site), could result in removal from the group. If you’re removed for this reason, you’re very welcome to rejoin at anytime if our activities later fit your needs.
