How about 2 resorts in 2 days? This posting is to gauge interest in a short multiday ski trip, tailored for those with Epic and/or Powderhorn season passes. (Epic works at Crested Butte and PH at Monarch). Weekdays preferred to avoid crowds.
Proposed itinerary (subject to group preference):
Day 1. Leave Montrose 8 am for 2 hr drive to Crested Butte. Ski all day then drive 39 miles and stay in Gunnison (to make the drive to Monarch shorter).
Day 2. Drive to Monarch Mountain, 45 min. Ski all day. Then either drive home, or stay in the nearby Monarch Mtn Lodge or back in Gunnison.
