HIKE: HAYDEN TRAIL....before Ridgway Concert
Join us for a 5-7 hr one-way hike that requires a shuttle. This hike begins near Crystal Lake/Full Moon Dam near Ironton and steeply ascends the north ridge off Hayden Peak, then descends steeply down Kaavapayawiyagat Gulch into Canyon Creek. Only 5.2 miles but with 2464 ft elevation gain and 3496 ft of loss! Plan to leave Montrose 9 am, end well before the 6 pm Ridgway Concert for clean up and supper.
See route HERE . Probably not a dog friendly hike, but fido and fido's well behaved owner is welcome (bring poo bags & leash please). If there is lightning risk we'll do Spirit Gulch instead.
