Vancouver Cross-Border Surf Crew 🏄

A casual group for Vancouver-based surfers who want to chase waves without the Tofino price tag. We carpool south across the border to Westport, WA — the closest real surf to Vancouver (about 5 hours, no ferry needed) — and split the cost of gas, lodging, and gear.

Who this is for:

• Beginners and intermediates welcome — Westport is one of the best places in the PNW to learn

• People who’d rather share a van and an Airbnb than pay solo prices
• Anyone tired of how expensive Tofino has gotten

How it works:

• We organize weekend trips (usually Fri–Sun), carpool in a rented van, split everything 3–4 ways
• Typical cost: ~CAD $400–460/person all-in (transport, lodging, lessons, gear)
• Group lessons available through local Westport surf schools
• Bring a valid passport — we cross the US border

Vibe: Low-key, no pressure, just stoked people who want to surf more often and keep it affordable. Cold water, good waves, great company.
