Lawrence of Arabia is widely regarded as one of the greatest films of all time. A British-American co-production, it's been ranked as one of the top 10 British films of all time by the British Film Institute and one of the top 10 American films of all time by the American film institute.

Starring Peter O'Toole in his breakthrough role, it tells the epic story of British officer T. E. Lawrence's leadership of the Arab revolt against the Turks during World War I. Directed by the master of epic filmmaking, David Lean, it's as intriguing for its complex psychological portrait of Lawrence as for its groundbreaking visual style that has influenced many directors, from Kubrick, to Scorsese, to Spielberg.

The American Cinematheque is showing Lawrence of Arabia from it's own pristine 70mm print at The Aero, in Santa Monica, so this is an opportunity not to be missed to see it as it was intended to be presented on the big screen.
