Walk & Talk - Starting at Cook Park, Tigard - approx 3 mile loop

Details
Welcome to this walk and our first event for the Westside Lustrous Ladies Meetup!
Starting Point: Meet near the main restroom building near the Cook Park main parking lot.
When you see the jungle gym, swings, and playground just beyond the resrtoom building, you're at the right place.
This will be a moderate-paced walk through the butterfly garden before taking the natural surface trail. From there, we’ll cross the Ki-a-Kuts Bridge, continue to Tualatin Community Park (restroom break), then head back across the Tualatin River and return to Cook Park via a loop around the large open dog park, then around the loop beyond the dog park where there is moderate hill climb before looping back to the starting point.
Route Highlights:
✨ Ki-a-Kuts Bridge – A beautiful pedestrian and bicycle bridge connecting Cook Park to Durham City Park and Tualatin Community Park, offering picturesque views of the Tualatin River
✨ Tualatin River Greenway Trail – A scenic riverside path with opportunities to observe local wildlife, wetlands, and wooded areas.
I will also be sharing some history of the local area and the Westside trail we will be walking. Most of the trail we'll take is flat - some on dirt trail, some the cement path - with one moderate hill climb and decent.
