Details
Hi Team !
Time to blow out the winter cobwebs, get some fresh air and view the awesome scenery at Shakespeare Park.
There are some great walking tracks, and the views of the Gulf are amazing !
Let's meet at Te Haruhi Bay.
At the end of Whangaparaoa Road turn right into Shakespeare Park then Left at the sign pointing to Te Haruhi Bay.
You'll go through the automatic gates, then follow the road down the hill.
Turn right at the bottom of there hill, just past 'The Old Woolshed' and park in the car park near the speed bumps (there are two of them !)
We'll meet you there. Please be ready to go by 10am.
Edit: If you would like a hot cuppa and piece of cake before we start the walk, our good friends and members Chris and Sabine have offered to provide refreshments. It's a very kind gesture from them and it's free!
They will meet us at the start point with their caravan.
If you wish to have a hot drink please be there by 9.40 am.
Once we get underway, we'll be walking to the lookout , then around past Tiri with stunning views of the gulf.
Walking time approx 2 hours, and requires a reasonable level of fitness.
Please come prepared for the weather on the day.
[NO DOGS ALLOWED - it is a wildlife sanctuary].
Afterwards join us for lunch or drink at The Waterfront Cafe & Bar in Gulf Harbour Marina.
It’s at 3/162 Harbour Village Drive, Gulf Harbour Marina.
