About us
You enjoy witty comedies and heart-warming romantic movies, especially when the two go hand in hand? You prefer them on the big screen from time to time? You like watching them with others who enjoy them too? Then this is your group.
The movies: A very broad range of the witty and romantic genres, from clever to sweet, from indie to mainstream, often other genres in the mix, classics, brand-new releases or hidden gems, sometimes just rom, sometimes just com — but always with style. I pick one per event, usually original language versions, ideally with subtitles. Suggestions are always welcome. Days, times, and cinemas vary.
After the movie, we wipe away our tears ;-) and those who feel like can head somewhere nearby for a drink and a relaxed after-movie chat.
You don’t need to be a very chatty person to come along, introverts are just as welcome as anyone else. There is also no need to know anything about filmmaking. It’s not a discussion group — we simply enjoy the experience. We speak English or German, or whatever works for you at the time.
This is a new, friendly, respectful group of movie lovers. The group is private so the focus is on enjoying a good movie together, rather than on meeting someone with a pretty profile photo.The number of attendees per event is limited so it doesn’t feel like a crowd. The group is non-commercial and kept to a manageable size.
Everyone takes care of their own movie ticket.
When you request to join, please answer a few short questions about what draws you to the group. One of them is about witty or romantic movies you’ve enjoyed, and it helps if you mention a few. They can be anything from old classics to newer films, famous or lesser-known. If you don't know the titles, just describe them to some AI so it can work the titles out for you :-) Original, German or English titles all work.
If your answers indicate a good fit to the group, you’ll be invited to join the club :-)
