Balloon Glow Extravaganza with SofaKillers Live! Sunday, August 31: SofaKillers Labor Day Liftoff and Balloon Glow Extravaganza! Join us Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at Memorial Park, 1605 E. Pikes Peak Ave, Colorado Springs, CO. A national-caliber event includes a balloon glow and live music—come early with lawn chairs, blankets, picnic baskets, family, and friends for food and fun. You can park anywhere it’s completely up to you, but if you want meet at Venus’s house, 412 South Hancock Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903; this is her business so park there for a fee of $25 for cars and $35 for crew cub or large trucks (with her generous five dollar parking discount $20 for cars and $30 for crew cub or large trucks) and walk to the park, a short and easy trip. The concert runs 6:00-7:00 p.m., with a break for the balloon glow at 7:00 p.m. and a celebration of Elaine Wolf’s birthday (Aug 15) with Jamaican Hummingbird cupcakes. The band returns 8:30-9:30 p.m. They’ll play hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s, offering something for everyone. Seating is not provided, so bring a chair if you want to sit or blanket. Parking is limited, so arrive early. Be ready for Colorado’s unpredictable weather. Note: This is a secular music and dance event, not Christian-focused, and some content may be offensive to some.
