Chili Cook-Off & House of David Episode 4
Details
Chili, Champions, and the House of David! Next Sunday, October 19, join us for another inspiring House of David Dinner & Movie Night—an evening of faith, fellowship, and film. We’ll gather at 6:49 PM (Luke 6:49), pray and eat at 7 PM, and kick things off with a fun Chili Cook-Off before watching House of David: Season 2, Episode 4. Frances will make her famous chicken chili, and John will start a cash award of $20 to whoever brings the best low-carb chili. (Please follow the Terlingua International Cook-Off standards—no beans, macaroni, rice, or fillers.) Bring your best chili, or simply come to taste and enjoy! Also, please bring salads, sides, or snacks to share. We’ll take a few moments to celebrate National Sunday School Appreciation Day, recognizing those who have faithfully taught and encouraged others in God’s Word. Water will be provided; please bring 7.5-ounce non-alcoholic sodas to share. Frances and John will serve hot spiced apple cider called “Battle Brew.” Before the movie, we will celebrate Kaleo Kalani‘s birthday with birthday cake. The episode continues David’s journey as God’s chosen leader, facing new challenges, growing opposition, and lessons in obedience and humility. Weather permitting, we’ll finish the night with s’mores by the fire pit and relaxed conversation. The evening concludes by 9:30 PM. Text John (719-351-7913) or Frances (541-219-2713) for the address and gate code.
