A Joyful Christmas Gathering – December 25
Christmas Day Blowout at Frances’s Home
Join us for our annual WIH Christmas blowout on Christmas Day, December 25, at Frances Farr’s home. Dress Christmasy or Sunday best. Pray and eat at 3:00 PM. Frances and John provide prime rib, roasted potatoes, asparagus, and sparkling apple cranberry in long-stem glasses. Many are bringing wonderful dishes: Jeannie Boyer (peanut butter fudge, Costco apple pie, Redi Whip), Devorah Phillipe (chocolate pie), David Hansen (scalloped potatoes), Larry Groll (roasted potatoes), Gary Crooks (salad), Pamela O (sourdough bread), Noriko (sweet potato casserole), Terrie S (green bean casserole), Michelle/Joni Zepp (salads), Jim T (baked beans, Martinelli’s), Cailee (Christmas cookies), Dawn Forrest (appetizers), Phoebe (creme de menthe brownies), Andrea (grapes/Gouda, cookies), Sam G (caramel pecan silk pie), Jamie B (Hawaiian rolls, charcuterie), Armando (key lime pie), Joy H (mint brownies, cheesecake), Jan Christman (wild rice). Bring what you like—ideas: appetizers (charcuterie, trays, shrimp, chips/dips), green salads, vegetables (corn, peas, broccoli), breads/sides (mashed potatoes/gravy), desserts (pies), French vanilla ice cream/whipped cream (multiples welcome), or flavored carbonated water (no sugar/fake sugar)/eggnog. Kick off with trivia, carols, Jesus’ birthday cake. Watch It’s a Wonderful Life (1946, Jimmy Stewart). Optional: Broncos vs. Chiefs at 6:15 PM (Prime Video). Group photo; gifts for RSVPs.
