Texas Roadhouse & Movie Night: Song Sung Blue. Join us Tuesday, January 6, for two optional events—a group dinner at Texas Roadhouse and a separate movie outing to see Song Sung Blue (PG-13, 2 hours 12 minutes). Come to either event or enjoy both. Song Sung Blue stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson and is based on a true story about two struggling musicians who form a joyful Neil Diamond tribute band, proving it’s never too late to follow your dreams or find love. The film has an impressive 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Dinner will be at Texas Roadhouse, 3120 N. Powers Blvd, starting promptly at 4:29 PM. Please arrive on time. The maximum table size is 10. If must to be there to be included in the first table. Texas Roadhouse requires the full group to be present before seating, and arriving late may cause you to miss the Early Dine special. The Early Dine includes a 6-ounce steak, salad, sweet potato, and drink for about $16.42 plus tip. If we finish dinner early, we will walk over to Kohl’s in the same parking lot. If you bring returns, you may receive a 20% off coupon, including clearance items, making for a fun bonus shopping stop. We will celebrate the 12 drummers drumming and 12th night by going to Kohl’s for a shopping spree after, or what we celebrate as 12th night. After Kohl’s, we will head to the movie. Please drive west on South Carefree past Powers, go through the roundabout, turn left past Dick’s Sporting Goods, and park at Cinemark. Early parking is limited, so allow extra time. The movie begins at 6:45 PM at Cinemark Carefree Circle XD & IMAX, 3305 Cinema Point. Tickets are $6.38 with tax, or you may give Frances $6 at dinner. Seats are in Row D and will be chosen during dinner. If you are not attending dinner, please purchase your ticket in advance or meet us at the theater by 7:30 PM to purchase one from us. Any unpaid tickets will be returned for credit at 7:30 PM, after which tickets must be purchased at the box office. The movie ends shortly after 9:00 PM. This is a dry gathering.
