Warm Sunday Gathering: Teriyaki, Cake & Heartwarming Film. Join us Sunday, February 1, at Frances Farr’s home for a relaxed and meaningful Dinner and Movie Night centered on fellowship and a touching true-inspired story. Arrive by 4:44 PM to settle in. We’ll gather, recite the Apostles’ Creed, and for Abolition of Slavery Day we will have statistics and prayer on sex trafficking, etc., A modern abolitionist is an activist fighting modern slavery (human trafficking, forced labor, sex slavery) we pray, and eat at 5:15 PM. Frances and John will provide chicken teriyaki skewers and white rice. Please bring a salad, side, snack, or individual cans of sparkling water (no sugar or artificial sweeteners) to share. Before the movie, enjoy hot spiced apple juice and celebrate birthdays with lemon cake for Eric Boyer (Feb 7). At 6:45 PM, we’ll watch Hachi: A Dog’s Tale (G, 2009, 1h 33m) starring Richard Gere—a heartwarming film about a loyal dog’s unbreakable bond with his owner, told through a grandson’s eyes.
