Places in the Heart movie and dinner. John and Frances will provide roast beef with tomato sauce, and roasted potatoes, carrots, and onions, and cotton picking cornbread and to drink: "Texas, Sunshine" Lemonade with turmeric (National lemonade day). On Sunday, May 3, at 4:44 PM. We are celebrating World Laughter Day and National Two Different Colored Shoes Day while finding our own "Places in the Heart" through the classic 1984 film. Wear your most mismatched shoes (same type!) and clashing patterns as we celebrate individuality and the pursuit of truth.

• 4:44 PM | The "Odd Couple" Arrival: Drop your "mismatched" shoe in the pile for our icebreaker! Prepare your side dishes and don your "Identity Pin" (an accessory representing a unique fact about you).

• 6:45 PM | Dessert & Dialogue: Enjoy "The Daily Scoop" (Dark Chocolate Mood-Enhancing Custard) for National Chocolate Custard Day & possible a birthday celebration for Marie M. (May 1).
• 7:20 PM | Cinema Screening: Places in the Heart (1984). 90% on Rotten tomatoes. Academy award winner 1984 best actress Sally Field. Witness the resilience of a 1930s Texas widow and her unlikely community. (Run time: 1h 53m).
• 9:10 PM | Post-Movie Briefing: A brief discussion on the film's themes of prejudice, grace, and finding "home".
