Logistics & Parking
Location: Private residence (dry gathering). Please park along the designated side of the street and keep driveways clear.
Requirements: Guests must be present to participate in all discussions and activities. Seating is limited to first-come, first-served.
Timeline
4:44 PM | Arrival & Setup: Drop off salads or sides on the round table and place individual sparkling drinks in the ice chest.
5:15 PM | Prayer & Dinner: John and Frances will serve Kansas City KCXE Z-man brisket sandwiches: sliced beef brisket with onion rings barbecue sauce, provolone cheese on a Kiser roll. Bring salads and sides!
5:30 PM | Trivia: Test your knowledge on unique global observances, including the International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade and its Abolition, European Day of Remembrance for Victims of Stalinism and Nazism, Internaut Day, and Buttered Corn Day.
6:15 PM | Cinema Screening: Watch Steven Spielberg's 2026 sci-fi thriller Disclosure Day (Rated PG-13, 2 hours 25 minutes), following a meteorologist and a cybersecurity analyst exposing an extraterrestrial government cover-up.
8:40 PM | Movie over.
8:45 PM | Dessert: grab some sponge cake for national sponge cake day.
8:50 PM | Post-Movie Discussion: John will facilitate a conversation on cultural narratives, perspectives on extraterrestrial life through secular and Christian lenses, and personal discernment (Ephesians 6:12).
9:30 PM | Departure: Guests must pack up leftovers and clear personal gear before heading home.
