4:15 PM | Dinner: Meet at Azteca Urbano Bar and Restaurante (24 E Kiowa St). Enjoy well-priced authentic street tacos or classic Mexican plates off the main strip. Standard happy hour runs 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM with $5.00 select food bites, alongside weekly specials like $2.99 tacos.
5:40 PM | Bill Settlement: Pay your individual bill and cash out quickly so the group can walk across the street before the music starts.
5:50 PM | Park Arrival & Logistics: Walk together to the Acacia Park Bandshell (115 E Platte Ave). Bring your own lawn chair, coat, and blanket. Park at street meters or utilize the City Cascade Garage (215 N Cascade Ave) for a $4–$6 flat rate after 4 PM. Leashed dogs are welcome, but no alcohol is permitted in the park. If skipping dinner, bring your own meal or purchase food directly from onsite food trucks.
6:00 PM | Concert Kickoff: Enjoy Collective Groove, a high-energy funk, soul, and rock fusion band known for tight musicianship and danceable live performances. John will facilitate group seating so everyone stays together. (Psalm 149:3). Note that guest seating is unreserved, so seating limits depend on available lawn space.
8:00 PM | Ice Cream Social: Walk to Lolley's Ice Cream (216 N Tejon St) right after the final encore. Sit outside on the sidewalk chairs to socialize and finish the evening together.
