Rosemount Museum, Da Vinci Exhibit & Colorado State Fair. Ultimate Pueblo Adventure: Museums, Riverwalk Dining & Free Friday Fair Fun!
Join John & Frances for a Party Van to Pueblo adventure on Friday! We’ll explore a spectacular Victorian mansion, experience Leonardo da Vinci, enjoy a Pueblo lunch, stroll the Riverwalk, and finish the day at the Colorado State Fair. This is a dry gathering.

EVENT GUIDE
9:00 AM | Meet & Board the Party Van:
Meet in the Walmart parking lot at Woodmen and Powers, 5550 E Woodmen Rd., Colorado Springs. Look for our white 12-passenger Budget van near the Walmart gas station. It is fine to park your car all day at Walmart. Park over by the van and you’ll be fine. Do not park at the gas station. However, the gas station is a convenient place to grab an inexpensive coffee or drink before we leave or go to the bathroom.
9:15 AM | Wheels Up to Pueblo! We will have ice water and snacks in the van. We have neat oatmeal bars and dark chocolate bars. We have Clementine’s and dried mango slices. Bring whatever you guys want and you can leave it in the van.
Everyone aboard! We’ll head south on I-25 for the approximately 45-to-50-minute drive to Pueblo.
10:00 AM–11:30 AM | Rosemount Museum Tour:
Tour the magnificent 37-room Victorian mansion at 419 W. 14th St. Large backpacks should be left in the van to help protect the museum’s fragile historic furnishings and artifacts.
11:45 AM–1:00 PM | Leonardo da Vinci Museum Exploration:
Explore the Leonardo da Vinci exhibits near Pueblo’s Historic Arkansas Riverwalk. Small personal bags are permitted. Italian coffee and gelato are also available on-site.
1:15–2:45 PM | Lunch at Gray’s Coors Tavern:
We’ll dine at 515 W. 4th St. Friday’s special features a pulled pork sandwich served with chips or fries.
Full: $9.95 Half: $8.25
Or try Pueblo’s famous “Slopper”—a burger smothered in Pueblo green chile. Other menu choices are also available.
3:00 PM | Colorado State Fair:
We’ll take advantage of the Free Friday for seniors over 60 promotion. Select food items and carnival rides are also $5 during the promotional period.
Parking is $10 cash at the South Lot and is included with our Party Van transportation. General bags are permitted on the fairgrounds, but clear-bag restrictions apply inside the Southwest Motors Events Center.
5:00 PM | The Over the Hill Gang live music:
Enjoy free live music on the fairgrounds—“a bunch of old guys on acoustic guitars!”
Christine and Noriko plan to meet us at the music at the fair after work. They’ll be driving separately.
8:30 PM | Wheels Up for Colorado Springs:
We’ll gather at the van and begin our approximately 45-to-50-minute return trip.
Approximately 9:20–9:30 PM | Back at Walmart:
Return to the Walmart parking lot at Woodmen and Powers.

TRIP COSTS
Each person pays for their own museum admissions, food, fair admission, and personal purchases.

Rosemount Museum:
Adults–59: $8
Seniors 60+: $6

Leonardo da Vinci Museum:
Adults: $15
Seniors: $13

Gray’s Coors Tavern:
Approximately $9+ depending on your order.

Colorado State Fair:
Free Friday for over 60 admission.

Fair parking:
The $10 is included with your Party Van ride.

PARTY VAN COST
We really want everyone to be able to come along, so we rented a 12-passenger van to keep us traveling together!
There is absolutely no pressure or obligation—we aren’t trying to make money on the trip. If you’d like to voluntarily chip in toward the van rental, we would certainly appreciate it.
