What we’re about
Welcome fellow widowed! The mission of our group is to provide support and social activities for those who have suffered the loss of a spouse or partner. All of our members and board are also widowed. We have peer support meetings, happy hours, movie nights, book clubs, pot luck dinners and other events. We have both in person and online events. Most of our in-person events take place in Montgomery County, MD but widowed persons from any location are welcome to join us.
Although members do occasionally date other members, this is not a dating site.
To help ensure the safety of our members, we ask for proof of widowhood. After submitting your request to join, please email us at widowedinmontgomerycounty@gmail.com and provide a link to an obituary or a death certificate. If you do not have access to either of these, email us some information and we will try to work with you.
