San Diego Wiknic 2020

A gathering with a bonfire on the shores of Vacation Isle, in the middle of Mission Bay, during Labor Day weekend 2020.

Hosted by San Diego Wikimedians User Group ( https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/San_Diego_Wikimedians_User_Group ), the goal of this event is to have an in person social meetup, while maintaining social distancing and abiding with precautions required by the San Diego County Public Health Order ( https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/sdc/hhsa/programs/phs/community_epidemiology/dc/2019-nCoV/health-order.html )(which includes usage of a face covering ( https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/CDPH%20Document%20Library/COVID-19/Guidance-for-Face-Coverings_06-18-2020.pdf )). Please abide by City of San Diego temporary protocols for parks and beaches ( https://www.sandiego.gov/sites/default/files/parks-passive-use-notice.pdf ). The event will culminate with a bonfire. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and beverages for themselves to consume, as well as bringing combustible material for the evening bonfire.
Everyone is invited, especially those who are interested in the future, or have in the past, made use of or contributed content to Wikipedia, or any of the other projects which are hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation.
