Wild Old Women (WOW)

WOW is a group of women over 60, who get together to enjoy meeting others with similar interests.  Activities include movies, lunches, picnics, music, theater, Happy Hours and day trips.  Most of us are retired, so most meetups are during the day on weekdays. Some are married, some are single, some are lesbian. The members in this group are only looking for friendship.

If what you'd like to do with your peers has not been offered, please contact one of the organizers. There's lots of different interests in the group and most of us are up for new experiences.

We have only a few requests.

- You are in charge of your dues, not the organizer. Meetup will notify you when they’re due and gives 30 days to pay.

- If you see a meetup you'd like to attend, sign up when you see it. You can always change your attendance to "not going" later.

- Always update your status if you find you cannot attend. Of course emergencies happen, but if you say you're coming and then frequently don't and you haven’t updated your status to not going, you'll get booted out. I do keep track of no-shows.

- If you’re going to be late to an event, take a moment to text one of us who is also attending or post a comment on the event. Usually it won’t be a problem. But know that we wait for 5 minutes and then we carry on with the event. If we know you’re on the way most often we won’t mind waiting.

- And a final suggestion: check the meetup app right before you leave to attend an event. In rare cases, we've had to cancel or rearrange at the last minute. If you check, you can save a wasted trip.
