What we’re about
Wilderness Union makes it easy to get into the wild and find your outdoor crew. We plan regular, unique trips with great people each weekend, and arrange the transport along with all the gear you'll need. All you need do is show up.
We plan wilderness adventures to show you more of Ontario than you thought possible, and feel reset after the weekend. All of our trips are professionally guided and we do a huge variety of activities with regular hikes, camping, paddling, skiing, snowboarding and other special adventures.
We're obsessed with creating the most unique, professionally run, wilderness experiences that you'll find. Many of our trips are unique to Wilderness Union and you'll often visit places with nobody else around. It's just us and nature.
Join us to explore more of the incredible wilderness around our city, find your people and live your weekends to their fullest.

Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Bruce Peninsula - Day TripKeele Station, Toronto, ON
We're doing a day trip to some of the most spectacular locations in Ontario as we visit the Bruce Peninsula. The area is full of unique, dramatic landscapes with stark cliffs and views over the enormous Georgian Bay.
We're starting the day off by visiting the Grotto, perhaps the most famous natural spot in the province and extra special at this time of year because we get to experience it without the crowds of tourists. We'll hike through the forest then along the beach, ending up at the incredible rock formations and crystal clear waters of the Grotto.
After lunch, we move on to Lionshead Park for a 7km hike to the lookout for a mind-blowing view over the scenery.
This will be a long day but one that is totally worth the drive for what is a bucket-list item for many. We'll be joined by naturalist guide Bryan for this trip who always adds another layer to our adventures with his rich knowledge of plants, flowers and animals.

About Wilderness Union
Wilderness Union is deliberate about building an outdoors community of people like you who will become your new friend group. Members range from 20-40 years old and are a mix of people who've grown up here but their friends are in a different place, newcomers to Canada, and folks from out West who want that lifestyle in TorontoAttendance numbers on Meetup don't reflect our actual event attendance - we typically have 15-20 community members at each event. Large enough that there's someone new to meet but small enough that it's not overwhelming!

- Prince Edward County Day TripKeele Station, Toronto, ON
Join us to discover why everyone loves Prince Edward County for some small town tourism and an afternoon at the beach.
First stop is en route, the famous Big Apple in Colborne, Ontario's most fun pit stop. You'll have the chance to grab a fresh apple pie or cider doughnut for later and meet the animals. From there, it’s a straightforward drive into Picton, the unofficial capital of Prince Edward County. We’ll have about an hour to explore independent bookstores and galleries. The Regent Theatre’s façade is something to see, and we can settle into a café or the County Canteen for lunch. Don’t forget to grab a cone at Slickers Ice Cream before we move on.
In the early afternoon, we’ll head to Sandbanks Provincial Park to relax on the beach or take a dip in the water. Don't fancy staying still, you'll also have the option of a short hike, leading through rolling sand ridges and wetland areas.
After a few hours of beach and hike time, we’ll pack up our half-eaten pie and make our way back to Toronto. This is what summer days were made for.
