Welcome to our Meetup Group
This is a space for anyone who loves being on (or near) the water — whether that means sailing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, or just hanging out with great people by the lake.
Our goal is simple: to bring together a community of like-minded people who enjoy sharing time outdoors, discovering new spots, and making the most of every breeze and sunny day.
What We Do
During the warmer months, we organise relaxed social sailing evenings, windsurfing meetups, and SUP sessions where everyone’s welcome — from total beginners to experienced riders.
We also enjoy spontaneous lake days, barbecues by the water, and the occasional weekend getaway to explore new places or chase the wind a little farther afield.
It’s all about connection, fun, and getting people out on the water together.
Get Involved
We’re always looking for friendly people who’d like to help our community grow — whether that’s leading a casual SUP morning, helping organize a sailing meetup, or just spreading the word. You don’t need to be an expert, just enthusiastic and safety-minded.
If you’ve ever thought “I wish there were more people to paddle/sail/windsurf with”, this is exactly the place for you!
Beyond the Meetups
For those who want to take things a bit further, we also offer beginner and improver courses, coaching, equipment rentals, and trips to some of the best water spots in Switzerland and beyond.
Community members also get discounts on gear and personalised advice if you’re looking to buy or try new equipment.

Saturday Sail

Let's have a social Weekend sail to get to know some group members and try to keep group momentum going through the winter months. I suggest we take the mOcean from Sailbox for a Saturday morning sail. Hopefully, we will get some good weather and wind to make this an enjoyable sail.
Right now the boat is available and I will make the reservation as soon as we have the first confirmed attendees.
No previous sailing experience is necessary, but if you have sailed already that is of course also ok. The idea is to get together and see what kind of water activities people like.
Cost:
We will split the cost amongst participants but it should be in the region of about 35 to 45 CHF per person for 2 hours sailing a bit more if it's just two of us a bit less if we fill the boat.If you are interested in joining please sign up sooner rather than later as I will reserve the boat as soon as we have anyone joining the event. If nobody is interested in joining I won't reserve the boat and booking last minute may mean that we need to go to a different location, use a different boat or alter the planned time.
Preferred Location:
Lake Zug. (Easily accessible from Zurich and Luzern by public transport)

Join Us for a Winter Social Sailing Trip!
Stay connected and keep the spirit of wind and water alive during the winter months by joining our upcoming social sailing adventure! This is a fantastic opportunity to meet fellow members of the "Windsurfing, Sailing, and Water Sports" group, enjoy some time on the water, and have fun together. We plan to take the mOcean from Sailbox for a relaxing Saturday morning sail. With hopefully great weather and wind, it promises to be an enjoyable and memorable experience. Whether you're an experienced sailor or new to water sports, everyone is warmly welcome!
No previous sailing experience is required—just a love for water and adventure! If you're already familiar with sailing, that's great too. The goal is to connect, share experiences, and discover what water activities excite you most.
Cost:

Afterwork Social Sail - Lake Zug
It’s summer — the perfect time to unwind after work and meet other water-lovers on the lake! Join us for a relaxed after-work sailing evening on Lake Zug aboard a mOcean sailboat from Sailbox.
We’ll set sail for about two hours, enjoy the fresh breeze, and (with a bit of luck!) catch Zug’s legendary sunset from the water.No experience needed — just bring your good vibes and a sense of adventure.

Summer is here — the perfect time to get out on the water and learn to windsurf!
If you’ve ever wanted to try this exciting sport, our Introduction to Windsurfing Day is the ideal way to start. Windsurfing combines the thrill of surfing with the freedom of sailing — it’s dynamic, fun, and the perfect complement to Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) for those warm summer days at the lake.
Join us for a relaxed, hands-on day with an experienced windsurf coach who will guide you through the basics and help you find your balance, confidence, and flow on the board.
What You'll Learn
- How to get on the board and start sailing short distances
- Basic steering and turning techniques
- Essential safety and wind awareness
- Tips to build your confidence and control on the water
By the end of the day, you’ll be able to sail away from shore, turn, and come back — and you might just discover your new favourite summer sport!
Who This is For
This day is perfect for complete beginners or those who’ve done a short taster session and want to properly learn the basics. You don’t need to be a strong swimmer, but you should feel comfortable and confident in the water.All equipment — board, sail, wetsuit, and buoyancy aid — will be provided.
