What we’re about
Welcome to our Windsurfing and Water Sports Meetup! This group is designed for enthusiasts who love windsurfing and other wind/water activities. Join us to indulge in wind and water-based activities in and around Switzerland. Experience the thrill of windsurfing, sailing, SUPing, and any other watersports take our fancy. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, we offer windsurfing and sailing lessons that cater to all skill levels. Come join us for unforgettable water adventures and meet fellow water-loving individuals who share the same passion!
We will run beginner windsurfing courses and more advanced coaching sessions as soon as the water gets a little warmer. We can provide you with all the equipment to try windsurfing right here in Switzerland and as you progress we will guide you along the way.
For those of you who already have the basics down, we can rent or organise a good deal on your own equipment. If you want to get out on the water a little more and for the more advanced amongst you we can offer coaching sessions on some of Switzerland's windier lakes or perhaps organise some trips to neighbouring hotspots such as Lake Como.
I would love to get a few passionate and like-minded wind sports enthusiasts onboard and can offer an "Ambassador" deal for anyone who would like to help grow a Wingsurfing or Kite Surfing side to this group. You don't have to be a Pro, but you should be passionate, approachable, eager to help others and have a solid basic level so that you are safe to be out in any conditions. If you think this might be you then feel free to get in touch.
We can also offer a 10% discount on new equipment from any of the following brands (amongst others) for members of our community.
- Naish
- North Windsurfing/Kitesurfing/Winging
- STX
- Tahe
- Slingshot
- Mystic
If you want any further information or want to rent or buy some equipment check out our website here.
I am looking forward to seeing you on the water very soon.
Kind Regards,
Dave
Upcoming events (2)
See all- Afterwork SailZug Marina (Hafen), Zug
It's summer, and that's a great reason for a social after-work sail to get to know some group members. I suggest we do the same as last year and take the mOcean from Sailbox for an after-work sail. Hopefully, the weather will be nice to us and we will get to see Zugs famous sunset from the water.
No previous sailing experience is necessary, but if you have sailed already, that is of course, also ok. The idea is to get together and see what kind of water activities people like.
Cost:
We will split the cost amongst participants, but it should be in the region of about 25 to 35 CHF per person for 2 hours sailing, a bit more if it's just two of us, a bit less if we fill the boat.If you are interested in joining please sign up sooner rather than later, as I will reserve the boat as soon as we have anyone joining the event. If nobody is interested in joining, I won't reserve the boat and booking last minute may mean that we need to go to a different location, use a different boat or alter the planned time.
Preferred Location:
Lake Zug. (Easily accessible from Zurich and Luzern by public transport)
The location may have to be changed if we end up booking the boat late so sign up early. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. Looking forward to seeing you on the water.
