UPDATE: Joan Kautz, Owner of Ironstone Vineyards out of the Sierra Foothills will be pouring the 2022 Reserve Cabernet Franc, the Reserve 2022 Chardonnay, the 2023 Sauvignon Blanc, the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2021 Reserve Meritage and the 2021 Reserve Ancient Vines Zinfandel. What a great lineup!

This afternoon, we'll join South Bay's Passion for Wine at the WineShoppe in Torrance as Joan Kautz owner of family-owned Ironstone Vineyards will be pouring a great selection of wines. The WineShoppe in Torrance is a boutique shop specializing in unique and hard to find wines from around the world. During the summer months every Saturday afternoon, the WineShoppe hosts the Winemaker Series hosting a different winery every week.
For four generations, family-owned, Ironstone Vineyards has been listed as the 17th-largest winery in the United States as of 2004. In addition to vineyards in the Sierra Foothills, Ironstone draws on the production from its Lodi appellation vineyards—some 7,000 acres (28 km2) in all. The Kautz family grows numerous varieties including Chardonnay, Rose, Chenin Blanc, White Blend, Cabernet Franc, Old Vine Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Meritage, Cabernet Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon, Merlot & Port. at www.ironstonevineyards.com for more info.There will be 6 varietals poured this afternoon. The posting will be updated once the wines to be poured is finalized. There will be no food provided, so you are able to bring snacks to the tasting. You will not be disappointed at this wine tasting.
I am a wine club member, so please let the WineShoppe know that you are with the group for the wine club member fee of $15 each for the wine tasting (reg. $20).
Be sure to check out the selection of wines at the WineShoppe to purchase a bottle or two for your upcoming summer activities, including the 6 for $66 ($11/bottle - some great choices of wines there as well).
There is plenty of free parking. The wine tasting ends at 5 PM. There are many restaurants & theatres nearby to continue your evening. Look forward to seeing you there.
