About us

Wine for an Hour is a way of life. Sometimes you just need to "whine" for an hour to get through the tough times... I also enjoy puns.

My name is Natasha and wine is my favorite hobby. I created Wine for an Hour to help new and inexperienced wine drinkers get into the wine world. If you're wondering what makes wine so special, if you think wine is nasty or if you just want to chat about wine, join Wine for an Hour! There will be both wine education sessions and general hang outs.

I have a variety of certifications in wine, beer and spirits. I will explain how to correctly taste wine before every meeting, so you'll be a pro in no time, even if you're a complete beginner.

Everyone 21+ is welcome to join.

I attend wineries, wine tastings and wine festivals around Charlotte, NC. I'll let you know where I am planning to visit and if the event is free, paid or bring your own beverage/pay for your own beverage. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am also available for private and online events, as well!

Have you ever been curious about what makes wine so special? Do you like wine but want to try different varietals? Do you think wine is ‘nasty’? Natasha is here to help! Come join my mini Introduction to Wine at The Auto Pour so that you can understand the basics of wine! This session is geared towards beginners but everyone is welcome!

The wine knowledge session with me is free. You will have to pay for the two 1oz wine samples which will be around $5 altogether, paid to The Auto Pour when you’re ready to leave.

Dress Code: Wear what you feel comfortable wearing, as it is a casual wine education session.

Wine for an Hour is based on respect. Please respect your fellow guests and the establishment that agreed to host us. Everyone is welcome! You must be 21+. ID's will be checked. If you RSVP and cannot make it, please let me know or change your RSVP. If you are on the waitlist, I will automatically add you to 'going’.

CHECK IN LOCATION: Check-in will be held at a yellow tent by the splash pad on The Terrace at Waverly. The Terrace is located in front of Hilton Garden Inn. Ticket check-in closes at 7:45 PM.

Let's walk around the Pop Up Artist Market together. It is hosted under a tent, rain or shine. Food trucks will be on site, as well. The museum is also free, as well!

Parking is very tight. I definitely recommend coming a bit earlier, if possible. I'll let you know where I am once the day comes.

Winery and Brewery Tour @ Seven Jars

Join me for a tour of Seven Jars to learn about their distillery and to sample their wine and spirits. You must purchase your ticket online for $30 for Oct 3 @ 1:00p: https://sevenjars.com/winery-tours-events/

There are only 12 spots available, so please do not miss out on this chance for a fun, early afternoon adventure. We will meet inside of Seven Jars (there are two doors, meet me on the left side, which is Side B) @ 11:45a.

The wine and spirits are available for purchase so if you taste anything that you like, please support Seven Jars by purchasing a bottle or three.

Official description from Seven Jars:
Join us for an experience where you’ll get to sample the wonderful flavors of Seven Jars! Our selection currently spans a total of 16 wines & 6 spirits.

We are a very small, local shop so our tours primarily take place in our two tasting rooms where each guest will be able to try a TOTAL of 12 products. That includes a minimum of 6 wines and a maximum of 6 spirits, with all pours being limited to 0.25 oz. You’ll also be able hear the full story about how Seven Jars came to be, & get a quick peek of our production area where all of our spirits are crafted. Overall, the tour should take about an hour to go through. Charcuterie boards are available for purchase, as well!

* At this time, we are unable to offer refunds for cancelled or missed tours. However, we provide the option to reschedule tours without any additional charges if conflicts arise, provided that advance notice is given. *

Please bring your IDs. Please note: If you are a no show for your RSVP, you will be removed from Wine for an Hour. I do understand things happen, please let me know.
