About us

Wine for an Hour is a way of life. Sometimes you just need to "whine" for an hour to get through the tough times... I also enjoy puns.

My name is Natasha and wine is my favorite hobby. I have a variety of certifications in wine, beer and spirits. I enjoy teaching others about wine, with a particular soft spot for those who know nothing about wine but are curious about what makes wine so special. I will explain how to correctly taste wine before every meeting, so you'll be a pro in no time, even if you're a complete beginner.

Everyone 21+ is welcome to join. I just want to talk about wine.

I attend wineries, wine tastings and wine festivals around Charlotte, NC. I'll let you know where I am planning to visit and if the event is free, paid or bring your own beverage/pay for your own beverage. Please let me know if you have any questions. I am also available for private and online events, as well!

Have you ever been curious about what makes wine so special? Do you like wine but want to try different varietals? Do you think wine is 'nasty'?

I'm here to help! I enjoy teaching the joys of wine to wine newbies. Come and sample two different wines with me! Did you know that there are certain steps to tasting wine? I will tell you the secrets of how to get the most out of your wine and how to fit in at any wine tasting. I will answer all of your wine questions and we will go over a few wine faux pas, as well.

This is a FREE event to kick off the group with a sample of two free wines!

Afterwards, we can chat and you can buy your own glasses of wine to further your wine knowledge. The Wine Vault - Elizabeth has plenty of beer, wine, water and snacks for you to purchase!

Wear what you feel comfortable wearing, as it is a casual wine education session. Wine for an Hour is based on respect. Please respect your fellow guests and the establishment that agreed to host us.

You must be 21+. ID's will be checked. If you RSVP and cannot make it, please let me know or change your RSVP, as event is limited to 9 invites.
