Jazz, Wine & NYC History: An Evening at Five Spot Jazz 🍷🎷
Hi, guys. It's been a while since I had my last jazz and wine event with you!
Have you ever wanted to experience the kind of intimate jazz atmosphere that made old New York so legendary?
Join us for a fun Sunday evening at Five Spot Jazz in the East Village-a new jazz venue inspired by the legendary original Five Spot Café, one of downtown New York’s most important jazz gathering places in the late 1950s and 1960s.
The original Five Spot was where jazz legends such as Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane performed, and where musicians, artists, poets, and writers came together. The venue became part of the creative heartbeat of downtown New York-a place where people went to hear something new, meet interesting people, and simply be part of the scene.
Today, Five Spot Jazz brings that spirit back to the East Village. It is an intimate, stylish space where you can enjoy live jazz, Japanese food, wine, sake, and cocktails in a setting that feels connected to NYC’s rich cultural history.
This is not a formal or serious jazz event-just a chance to enjoy a memorable NYC evening with good music, drinks, and interesting people. Whether you are a longtime jazz lover or simply curious about discovering one of New York’s unique cultural spots, come join us!
Let's enjoy a little NYC history, a little jazz, a glass of wine, and good company. After all, some of the best evenings in New York are the ones where you simply show up somewhere special and see what happens.
I look forward to meeting everyone there!
XOXO Angie.
