Book Chat with Jacob Buller
Details
Please join us for our upcoming virtual Book Chat with Jacob Buller, where he'll read from his middle-grade novel, The Stinkwater Escape. Come listen and ask him questions to learn more about his writing and the story.
To attend, please email MWGEvents2022@gmail.com, and request the Zoom instructions.
About the story:
His feral-hearted middle-grade serial story is about adventure, perception, and the many thresholds crossed as one crocodile learns to human in a world that is not sure it wants him. It's reverse climate fiction for curious minds, crooked beasts, and readers who like their stories a little sideways.
About the Author:
Jacob is a writer based in Gimli, Manitoba. His work explores identity, environmental themes, and the gap between how the world appears and how it actually works. He writes middle-grade fiction, speculative stories, and literary short fiction, often working in serialized form. His short story Things That Need Doin’, which appeared in Icelandic Connection (2026), is available online, and will appear in print later this year; the story is now being expanded into a novel. He is also serializing The Stinkwater Escapee, a middle-grade fiction project.
