Feel like having some fun and taking a stab at spontaneous writing?

Ephemera - things which were important for a short time, collected as mementos due to their association with some person or event.

This writing workshop will begin with a presentation of ephemera collected by our fellow Guild member, Heather Emberley, through her volunteer work with the Children's Hospital Book Market. Each attendee will be invited to select an item and then write a piece about it - a poem, a short story, or even the beginning on a novel. These items, left behind by hundreds of readers over a broad spectrum of time mostly as bookmarks, are just yearning to evoke a memory, a sentiment or a tempting storyline in your keen writer's mind. After each writing session, attendees will have the opportunity to read their work for discussion and suggestions.
