Bunco is a fun dice game where we play at 3 tables, rotating playets, by rolling dice…. We switch tables and at the end win money for most Buncow, mini Buncos, and lowest score.

Bring $5 in ones please.

Key Rules for Beginners:

Setup: Use 3 dice, scorecards, and a bell for the head table. Partners sit across from each other.

How to Score:
1 Point: Each die that matches the round number (e.g., rolling a 3 in Round 3).
5 Points: Rolling three-of-a-kind of any number that is not the current round number.
21 Points (Bunco!): Rolling three-of-a-kind of the current round number. You must yell "BUNCO!".

Gameplay: Roll all three dice. Keep rolling as long as you score points. If you get no points, pass the dice to the left.
Winning a Round: The first table to 21 points rings the bell, ending the round for everyone.

Rotating: After each round, winners move up (to the head table), losers move down, and everyone changes partners.
Game End: Typically, four sets of six rounds are played, and prizes are awarded for most Buncos, most wins, or even most losses.

Common Lingo:

Ghost: Used when there are not exactly 12 players; a "ghost" acts as a partner for an unpaired player, with the partner rolling for them.
Table Talk: Casual conversation encouraged while playing, as the game requires no skill.

As always, please be very mindful of your RSVP as this game requires an exact number of players to play. Please continue to read the comments if we don’t get 12 players. Parking is limited so you’ll need to either carpool or park at the entryway to the Marlwood townhomes. Jerry will post her phone number and address in the comments.

Please bring a small plate of snacks to share and your own beverage.
