WIP Creating Comics Online - Community Special
Details
Creating Comics is a monthly meetup, where we study the craft of drawn narratives with the goal of helping people create their own comics.
This is a community-led session, with a five exciting talks on a variety of subjects from members of the WIP Comics community:
🎤 No Worries If Not
How not to sell yourself and/or your comic (and how to Not not do that)
Presented by AJ O'Neill

🎤 Putting perspective into perspective
Do you dread drawing complex backgrounds? Do the rules of perspective feel overwhelming, even arbitrary to you? Maybe you've tried using the built-in perspective grid that comes with many drawing programmes, but found it to be stiff and lifeless and want to learn how to do it yourself. If any of the above describes you, then you won't want to miss this talk!
In it, Kristina will explain the basics of perspective, yes, but she'll go further and give you a deeper understand of why it works. We'll learn how to incorporate perspective techniques into our composition from the very start, and we'll see how it can improve our drawing even when we're just drawing characters in a natural background.
