Join TaraTheBard in an original, emotional storygame about serving the goddess Hecate. Set in Greece in 1915, a group of travelers meets at a crossroads. Affected in their own ways by war, the travelers are from different cultures, countries, and spiritual backgrounds -- but they have one thing in common: they encounter the goddess, who provides them with hounds for their safety and asks them to complete tasks in the mortal world. The world is, after all, on the threshold of a greater loss.

As the group of characters progresses through the story to aid Hecate, they encounter contemporary and mythological challenges. They confront fears from their past and consider offerings and sacrifices. Encounters may be solved through diplomacy, violence, trickery, and more.

This low-mechanics game with story-driven character sheets, adjudicated by the game's designer, focuses on character development, story progression, and transformative personal development. 18+, all genders welcome. No preparation or setup required. This story game is appropriate for new or experienced gamers. While the game centers around Hecate and witchcraft practices, players of any belief system (or none!) are encouraged to join.

While players progress through their story, they complete a real-life, physical crafting project meant to protect their home with the power of witchcraft, magical story, and Hecate: the goddess of thresholds.

Players may wish to bring a pen and notebook to take notes and track their progress. A safety workshop will enable all players the opportunity to discuss content and comfortability. The game will not feature portrayals of SA or racism.

Crafting materials will be supplied.

Themes include: War, death/dead historical soldiers, early fascism and the resistance thereof, the underworld, "War is hell!"

Due to the limited number of seats available to accommodate an intimate storygame setting, please make sure you RSVP and update your RSVP as needed. Fee is $25 and materials are included. Please pay upon arrival. Thank you.
