What we’re about
Welcome to the Women After 40 Meetup group!
This group is all about creating a warm and comfortable space for ladies over 40 to chat and connect over coffee/tea.
As we enter into the second half of our lives, there are many milestones to celebrate as well as the onset of challenges like menopause, health issues (ours and that of family members), lack of social connections outside of family, as well as other life stressors.
We aim to build a supportive community of women 40 years old and above through small group get-togethers over coffee or tea and the occasional walk, where we get to swap experiences and tips on navigating through the ebbs and flows of life - sort of like our own casual support group.
And it doesn't have to be all about difficulties. We also want to celebrate the accomplishments of women in their lives. Many women of the earlier generations have been told that it is not ladylike to share our achievements openly, and there is a tendency to downplay our successes. Our group wants to create a space for women to be who they are - warts, trophies and all!
