Are you an active female, over 50 yrs old looking to meet new female friends for some fun social events and friendship? Whether you are newly retired, you are new in town, or your children have flown the nest, or you are just looking to join activities and fun social events, or meeting new female friends, we welcome you!
We have a very nice, fun group of ladies in our group with our events geared towards active women over 50 yrs of age. Average age is 50's through 60's. Most members in this group are married, retired or working lite hours.
Weekday, afternoon happy hours and dining out, is high on our list and is very popular with members of this group. Food, wineries, with some activities such as painting, crafts, live music, movies where many events are seasonal as weather permits.
I'm most proud of the many personal friendships women have formed from meeting at our groups events.
IMPORTANT GROUP INFORMATION:
WHEN EVENTS WILL BE HELD: Events will be held mainly on weekdays, between the hours of 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at locations in the greater Meridian, Eagle and occasionally Star areas. Most indoors during cooler weather, enjoying outdoors as weather allows. On occasion, a boise or a caldwell location, an evening or a weekend event will be held.
DO JOIN WAITLISTS: If there is a waitlist, don't give up, join the waitlist. I've been there myself and it's no fun! I will always do my best to work with venues to increase # of members attending.
IF YOU ARE ON A WAITLIST: You are responsible to show up to event if you move from waitlist to "going". Sometimes this happens just prior to event. Please set your meetup permissions to receive alert notifications for this group to be alerted if you have been moved from waitlist to going. If you are not unable to attend, remove yourself from waitlist or cancel your rsvp.
CANCELING YOUR RSVP: If you are not able to attend an event, please cancel your reservation with a minimum or 24 hours prior to start of the event. Thank you for being considerate.
HOW TO CANCEL YOUR RSVP: On meetup app or logged onto meetup, edit your RSVP for event to "not going".
CANCELLING DUE TO ILLNESS:
If you are ill and need to cancel rsvp with more than 24 hours notice of scheduled event: On meetup, cancel your rsvp for event. Thank you.
If you are ill and need to cancel rsvp on the day of the event: You will find RSVP will be closed for cancellations. Please message me through meetup to let me know you are ill and unable to attend. Thank you.
ACCEPTANCE / REMOVAL FROM THIS PRIVATE GROUP: A member not having or maintaining any of the below maybe a cause for a member to not be accepted into group or be removed from group: (Below list is a consensus of group members, who sum it up, be nice & have fun)
1. Must be female over 50 years of age.
2. Maintain a current, clear legible picture of your face, without sunglasses is required to be accepted in this private group, and you must maintain this picture on your profile. We want to know who to greet at an event!
3. Please refrain from topics on religion and politics at events. With a few hundred ladies in group there are likely many opinions and we all just want to have a fun time!
4. Members who "NO Show" to events they have RSVP for, OR have frequent rsvp cancellations with less than 24 hour notice of start time of event, not related to illness, maybe removed from group or moved from "going to an event" to waitlist is event is full.
If your plans change, RSVP's must be cancelled minimum 24 hours prior to event, otherwise, you will be marked as a no show.
5. This is not a networking or singles group. NO "Soliciting of Members" for products, services, other events you are involved in, or just the "gathering or collecting contact information from members for same reasons. Members will be removed from group. We just wish to have fun at these events!
6. DO NOT SHOW UP AT EVENTS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CONFIRMED RSVP SPOT TO ATTEND EVENT. You will not be allowed to attend event. (This has happened several times in 2024)!
