Curious about Kubernetes? Or maybe you’ve just heard the name and nodded along in meetings? Either way, this session is for you. Join Lead Software Engineer Tatiana Selezneva as she unpacks Kubernetes in a way that actually makes sense — with analogies, hands-on fun, and a few surprises along the way. Bring your laptop and come curious!
About the topic
This introductory talk looks at Kubernetes beyond its simple definition as a "container orchestrator." We'll explore how Kubernetes fundamentally serves as an abstraction layer that automates container management at scale.
Through a relatable analogy to cloud infrastructure management, you'll understand how Kubernetes controllers maintain desired states across your system.
We'll examine the core building blocks (namespaces, pods, deployments, and services) with practical examples and YAML manifests, finishing with a hands-on game to deploy application using Kubernetes.About Tatiana
