Tech Talks with Asia Sharif & Julia Gray

Women in Tech Birmingham is back this July, and we've got a lineup with talks about career growth, authenticity, and the human side of working in tech.
Join us on Tuesday, July 28th for an evening of honest conversations, safe networking space, and great company.

🎤 Asia Sharif, Software Engineer at NatWest Group, will take us through her journey "From Newbie to Multi Award-Winning Software Engineer." Asia taught herself to code during lockdown and has since built an award-winning career specialising in data and cloud technologies in fintech. She's also a dedicated mentor who has directly supported over a hundred women into engineering careers. And this September, she'll be taking the stage for her very own TEDx talk in Manchester. We're thrilled to have her with us ahead of that milestone.

🎤 Julia Gray, Full Stack Software Engineer at Griffiths Waite and Women in Tech organiser, brings us a lightning talk on "Why Human Connection Wins in an AI-Driven World." Julia builds custom AI-driven products for large enterprise by day, and spends her time outside of work championing connection and growth within the Women in Tech Birmingham community.
