Ok, so this book looks terrifying. Probably a great book to read during spooky month! Here is the synopsis: “Thirty-nine women and a girl are being held prisoner in a cage underground. The guards are all male, and never speak to them. The girl is the only one of the prisoners who has no memory of the outside world; none of them know why they are being held prisoner, or why there is one child among thirty-nine adults.”

So… dystopian, sci-fi vibes right in time for Thanksgiving. Yay?!? We’ll be meeting at Honey Seed. I don’t have a good reason, we just are.

The second part of the film adaptation is titled "Wicked: For Good" and is scheduled to be released on November 21, 2025. The movie continues the story from the first film. It covers the second act of the Broadway musical, delving into the evolving relationship between Elphaba and Glinda, the political landscape of Oz, and the rise of Elphaba as the Wicked Witch of the West. Times are not available yet. Let’s plan on a matinee in the early afternoon. I will post the timing once we know and plan for lunch. Bad Daddy’s Burgers on Gunbarrel is a personal favorite, but I am open to suggestions. Movie tickets must be purchased in advance so we can sit together. A message will be sent with that cost and a deadline once it is known.
