((( Community women’s circle )))
This month them: Honoring our ancestors 🕯️💀💐
This month our circle turns toward the ones who walked before us the grandmothers, the great-grandmothers, the names we carry and the names we've lost. Together we'll build a collective altar for our ancestors 🕯️💀💐 and sit in sacred ceremony with their memory.
You're welcome to bring:
🌼 Flowers in yellow, gold, and orange — the colors that light the way home
📸 Photos of loved ones who have passed
🍃 Natural offerings — stones, feathers, shells, earth, water from a place that holds meaning
🍊 Food offerings — fruit, coffee, pan dulce, a favorite treat or dish they loved in their lifetime
🕯️ A candle, if you'd like to light one in their name
Nothing is required. If you come empty-handed, you come carrying them already in your hands, your face, your voice.
What the evening holds:
We'll open by crossing the threshold together and calling in those who came before. Each of us will be invited to place our offerings and, if we wish, speak a name and share a story, a recipe, a song, a memory.
This is a space for joy and grief alike. Some of us come with deep roots we can name; some of us come with gaps, unknown lines, or complicated ancestry. All of it belongs. You can honor a blood ancestor, a chosen elder, a teacher, or simply the ones whose names you'll never know but whose survival made yours possible.
Please arrive a few minutes early to settle in and place your offerings.
🐚Your host:
Boicicani is an Indigenous from the Taino Arawak Nation of Borikén. She descends from a revered lineage of healers and spirit practitioners, carrying forward the wisdom and sacred traditions of her ancestors. As a graduate student of psychology and certified in cognitive behavioral psychotherapy, Boicicani bridges the worlds of modern science and ancient healing. She is the visionary founder of Among The Island Fungi, a psychedelic harm reduction community in Borikén. Boicicani’s teachings are a vibrant tapestry, weaving together ritual, earth-based practices, somatic approaches, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and the rituals passed down by her elders and teachers.
A gifted Ceremonialist, Reiki Therapist, Song Carrier, and Moon Dancer, she is also certified as a 200hr Yoga Teacher in the Andean Cosmovision. Her work is a testament to the power of integrating holistic modalities and ancestral technologies, which have helped her—and those she serves—navigate and heal generational traumas, addictions, depression, self-esteem challenges, and childhood wounds. Boicicani holds monthly women’s gatherings and water prayers for the community.
