Join us and Security Innovation to test your skills in hunting down web application vulnerabilities and learn how to secure your apps through a game. Immerse yourself in Security Innovation’s CMD+CTRL platform where players exploit their way through hundreds of vulnerabilities that lurk in business applications. For each vulnerability you uncover, you are awarded points. Compete with fellow participants and climb up the leaderboard. Top 3 players will receive a prize!

A kickoff presentation will provide an overview of gameplay, how to think like an attacker, and tips to get you started and scoring. Throughout the event, the team will provide insight into vulnerability root causes, exploitation, and mitigation tactics and assist you in your efforts.

Before the event:
Set up your CMD+CTRL Account

  1. Point your browser to https://web.securityinnovation.com/wwc-bay-area
  2. Register by entering all the required information.
  3. An email will be sent to complete setting up your account. (link expires in 72 hours).

Join the slack channel to collaborate with fellow attendees and help from mentors during this event - #game_time_with_cmd_ctrl

IPv6 supported devices are preferable for this exercise but not mandatory.

Who should attend:
No matter if you are a first-time developer or a seasoned hacker, there are challenges for everyone. Bring your enthusiasm and your laptop, along with your desire to learn and have lots of fun!
