Design Thinking

Details
This event will focus on the topic of “Design Thinking”.
Some of the world’s leading brands, such as Apple, Google, Samsung, and GE, have rapidly adopted the Design Thinking approach and Design Thinking is being taught at leading universities around the world, including Stanford, Harvard and MIT. But do you know what Design Thinking is? And why it’s so popular? Here is your chance to find out more on this topic.
Design thinking is a methodology that provides a solution-based approach to solving problems. It’s extremely useful in tackling complex problems that are ill-defined or unknown, by understanding the human needs involved, by re-framing the problem in human-centric ways, by creating many ideas in brainstorming sessions, and by adopting a hands-on approach in prototyping and testing. Design thinking taps into our creative abilities and allows us to develop not only functional but also emotionally meaningful solutions to complex real-world problems.
Alexander Boll will present insights into the design thinking process and application of this methodology. He obtained the degree in Business Administration from LIMAK -Austrian Business School and is currently Innovation Manager at Haufe group.
This event is also in collaboration with women ++ , a Swiss non-profit organization that strives to increase diversity in tech.
Following his presentations, you will have the chance to discuss more with Alexander over the networking apéro.
