What we’re about
Welcome Fabulous Ladies,
Have you recently relocated leaving close friends and family behind? Perhaps friendships have drifted? Like me, some members have recently relocated to this area and are looking for connections. Studies reveal, as life situations change, so do friendships. Creating new social connections and community improves mental health. Loneliness is considered a pandemic right now so if you do feel a bit alone, there are with similar feelings.
WCOF began in January of 2023. A year later, we have enjoyed monthly and, sometimes weekly get togethers. One of the most frequent questions I get: How often do you meet? Currently we do happy hours at Whiskey Reds. I frequently travel, so when I am gone, members are encouraged to step in and get together.
Our goal: To create fun events that allow women to experience authentic connections and hopefully, over time, build new friendships. We consider this community, YOUR community. Because this is YOUR community, we also ask that you chip in and host or co-host events. Groups are not sustainable if one person is tasked with doing it all.
Check us out for several months (Free Trial); if you like our group, please join by paying the nominal annual membership fee of $5. Meetup charges organizers an annual subscription fee for access/use of their platform.
WCOF History: In 2012, our first chapter was founded in Alexandria, VA. Women's Circle of Friends-Naples Chapter began after a friend moved, from Alexandria to Florida. We established a chapter in Greenville, NC, in 2016. And so it goes: As women relocate, our groups help with the transition and creating new friendships. Women's Circle of Friends has been a game changer for me. I hope it will be for you as well.
