June 5~28 Miles Traditional/E-BIKE Ride - Steele St Park to Brighton
Details
Hello Ladies,
E-Bikers must be able to keep up a 15 mph speed (or more at times). If you are a traditional bike biker and you can keep up to this speed that would be fine. Length is about 28 miles total.
We will ride north on the South Platte River Trail starting from Steele Street Park, then ride to Brighton to Ken Mitchell Park. About 28 miles round trip. There are covered picnic tables for our bike break and snack time at Ken Mitchell. They do have restroom facilities with flushy toilets!! We are very likely to see a bald eagle or two along the way as well as other birds along the river and even some deer or wild turkeys. There can be quite a few bugs along the river so bringing a face covering.
Hence will meet on Friday, June 5 at 9:00 am at the Steele Street Park parking lot and be ready to leave by 9:15 am. Please arrive earlier if you need more time. There is a portable outhouse at the parking lot.
It is a nicely paved trail, with one easy road crossing. No big hills!!
Time is listed as 3 hours but it may be shorter. Sometimes hard to tell.
*Please have your emergency contact name and phone number clearly written in your helmet (in case of an emergency situation) and please private message me your cell phone number if you know I don't have yours and I will send you mine.
