What we’re about

**Please note that the Oakland Women’s Center is closed effective April 5, 2018. This Meetup is now run by Women’s March Oakland.**

Women’s March Oakland envisions an East Bay free from systems of oppression and rooted in inclusive structures guided by autonomy, dignity and respect for all self-identified women and other vulnerable populations. Our mission is to harness the political power of diverse women and their communities in Oakland and the greater East Bay to create transformative social change.

Women’s March Oakland is a women-led movement providing intersectional education on a diverse range of issues and creating entry points for new grassroots activists and organizers to engage in their local East Bay communities. Because 2018 is a consequential election year, these Meetups will serve as a space to learn about barriers to voting in the East Bay, discuss activism in our neighborhoods, and host voting clinics.

Join us and make sure you are up-to-date with the latest Women’s March Oakland events and activities in your community!
