Hi and welcome to WordPress Cambridge #wpcbg
WordPress Cambridge is a monthly Zoom Meetup for users, designers & developers to pool their knowledge, experiences and techniques. Traditionally we run on the second Monday evening, UK time, of the month. Voted the 8th best meetup in town by a Cambridge Business lounge poll. However, our August and December meetups are at a local Cambridge pub, as there is a small WordPress community around town.
Every meeting is an open discussion where everyone is free to share their experiences, knowledge and solutions. Often Chris or Simon introduce the topic, just to get the discussion started. Then participants take over. Questions are great, and hopefully someone knows a solution. Ideally, everyone leaves with a greater knowledge of WordPress.
We also have a code of conduct to ensure our meetings are friendly and welcoming to everyone who wants to attend. Please check it out!

Carpenters Arms, Cambridge, 184-186 Victoria Road, Cambridge, GBMonday August 17th August 7pm we'll meet at the Carpenters Arms on Victoria Road, Cambridge. It's a chance to actually meet local members for meandering chats, perhaps including WordPress matters.
Even better, the Carpenters Arms offers a 2 for 1 pizza deal on Monday evenings. We'll have a large table reserved.

Short walk away from town, and right into Victoria Avenue.We reckoned there wouldn't be great attendance online in August, as everyone would be in out, probably in pubs or cafes enjoying the summer.
We've got a rather useful discussion session lined up for the 2nd Monday in September, the 14th, around analytics.

Google Analytics is complicated but free, but there free and pro versions of: Independent Analytics, Burst Statistics, WP Statistics, Jetpack Stats, Plausible Analytics, Fathom Analytics, Simple Analytics, Matamo, and MonsterInsights.Reserve your spot:

- Compare and Contrast the various analytics tools.
- Does the analytics provide the useful essentials, e.g.
- Visits and approximate visitor numbers
- Popular and underused pages
- Referring websites and campaign links
- Search-engine traffic
- Countries or broad regions
- Device and browser categories
- Form submissions, purchases, downloads or bookings
- Page speed and error information
- Decisions that analytics can support: e.g.
- Which content should we create, improve or remove?
- Are people finding important pages?
- Are visitors completing forms, bookings, purchases or downloads?
- Which campaigns or referring sites are useful?
We're a discussion meeting
This means everyone is encouraged to add to the conversation. Everyone is welcome to ask questions, and hopefully someone knows an answer. Beginner or advanced, we’re here to learn from one another. As always, our friendly regulars from the UK, Europe, and the USA will be joining in.There is no "expert" speaker, however Chris and Simon will, as usual, start by briefly describing the issue, just to start and inspire a discussion.
