What we’re about
Hi and welcome to WordPress Cambridge #wpcbg
WordPress Cambridge is a monthly Meetup for users, designers & developers to pool their knowledge, experiences and techniques. Voted the 8th best meetup in town by a Cambridge Business lounge poll
We have monthly Monday evening meetings at the Bradfield Centre on the Science Park. Usually a talk about Wordpress or websites, and the experts promise to solve 1 problem at the clinic.
The aim is to let 1,000 flowers bloom. Everyone is welcome to become an organiser and organise speakers, other events or ???.
We also have a code of conduct to ensure our meetings are friendly and welcoming to everyone who wants to attend. Please check it out!
WordPress Global Community Sponsors help fund WordPress Meetup groups and WordCamps around the world. Thank you to WordPress.com, WooCommerce, Jetpack, Nexcess, Bluehost, and Weglot, for their support!

See allHello WordPress Enthusiasts!
🗓️ Mark your calendars for Monday, April 8th, at 7 PM, as WordPress Cambridge (UK) dives into the critical world of Backups and Security in our next virtual meetup. This isn't a webinar; We're a platform for sharing, discussion, questions and collaborative learning.
💡 Our Topic: Robust backups and security are important. We've all heard the stories—sites compromised, backdoors inserted, and the frustrating cycle of re-hack post-cleanup due to limited backup windows offered by most hosting services.
But there's a wealth of strategies and tools out there for every budget, ensuring your site stays secure without breaking the bank. Let's explore the best value solutions together!
đź”— Event Details: https://www.meetup.com/wordpress-cambridge/events/29983911 - Make sure to save your spot!

- Live Demonstrations: Got a handy tip or a nifty solution? Show us! With Zoom, screen sharing is a breeze, making it easier for everyone to follow along.
- Diverse Expertise: Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, your questions and knowledge are valuable. Together, we'll create a rich learning environment for all.
- Stay Connected: You'll receive the Zoom link via email on April 8th to ensure you don't miss out on this opportunity.
Thanks to Chris Cox of HiHub.info for providing the Zoom platform. A recording will be shared post-event for those who can't make it or want to revisit the discussions.
Agenda:
- 7 PM: Welcome and quick introductions. Share a bit about your WordPress journey in 10 seconds!
- 7:15 PM: Dive into our backups and security discussion.
- 8:30 PM: Begin to wind down, open the floor for casual chat, and brainstorm next month's topic.
- 9 PM: Wrap up.
Our virtual gatherings attract WordPress users from the USA to Europe, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.
While we miss the possibility of local meetups, the silver lining is the vibrant, diverse group that Zoom brings together.
We're excited to meet you (virtually) and delve into backups and security together. Let's make our WordPress sites safer, one discussion at a time.
See you there, Simon & Chris
