WordPress Cambridge: WordPress 5.9 & Gutenberg Blocks Zoom only, Feb 21st 2022

Our February meetup is about WordPress 5.9 & Gutenberg blocks. It's on Monday Feb 21st 7pm as Monday 14th is Valentines day. We're on Zoom again.

5.9 promises full site editing, and the following features are in the suggested roadmap:
Blocks + intrinsic web design
Navigation menus
Interface for theme.json
Refining editing flows for block themes
New default theme
Additional design tools

As usual, there are no planned speakers. Our idea is that a few members kindly volunteer to share and/or demo what they've discovered about 5.9. Also would be great to share experiences of Gutenberg blocks. - There are now so many.

All questions welcome, especially "stupid" questions, which hopefully someone can answer.

You should see the zoom link when you register. Beware the link is often unavailable after the meeting starts.

Hopefully, we'll be at the Bradfield fairly soon.

This format seems to work.

7 pm: Welcome. Depending on numbers, everyone gets to introduce themselves, perhaps 10 seconds each, mainly describing their involvement with WordPress. If we have many attendees, then introductions via the chat.

7:20 pm: Start of sharing & discussion.

20:30 The meeting kinda starts to wind up, sometimes we chat for longer.
