Advanced Custom Fields: WordPress Cambridge Mon 10th July 7pm UK Zoom
Details
Monday July 10th 7pm on Zoom, our discussion topic is Advanced Custom Fields 101.
It's 101, as it's for everyone who knows they ought to be using ACF, but haven't yet touched it. Chris & I are part of the never-touched it brigade.
As usual we hope that people will roll up, happy to share their knowledge and expertise. Everyone is invited to share their screen, and demonstrate something they've discovered. Thank you Jonathan Whiteland who will demo an introduction for complete beginners, and Steven Watts who will show using flexible content as a way to have reusable components that you can use throughout your site. It's a way of working, nothing technical or complicated.
Every question, suggestion & comment is welcome. Beginner questions are great, as well as questions from people who know the topic.
Everyone else will learn something, and seeing things working leaves people thinking they can also create something.
We have a wonderful crowd on Zoom, from across the USA, UK, Ireland, and Europe. Alas, we don't have enough people close to Cambridge to justify actually meeting in town. So the meetup is only on Zoom.
Thanks to Chris Cox of https://www.hihub.info/ for providing Zoom.
This format seems to work.
7pm: Welcome. Depending on numbers, everyone gets to introduce themselves, perhaps 10 seconds each, mainly describing their involvement with WordPress. If we have many attendees, then introductions via the chat.
7:15 pm: Start of sharing & discussion.
8.30pm The meeting kinda starts to wind up, sometimes we chat for longer.
Looking forward to seeing and chatting with everyone.
Simon & Chris
