WordPress in the Public Sector

Details

What do the White House, NASA, the California DMV, the US Department of State, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and 65 state agencies in California have in common? They’re all powered by WordPress. If you’ve never thought about finding clients in the public sector, maybe it’s time.

Join us for an East Bay WordPress meetup on the eve of the Code for America Summit in downtown Oakland. We’ll be talking about the impact of WordPress in the Public Sector, with a panel of public sector decision makers and implementers. This event is free and open to all (RSVP requested).

  • Abby Bowman - Web Modernization Lead, NASA
  • Michael Enslow - Digital Services Officer for the Office of the City Administrator, City of Oakland
  • Leila Hornick - Web Developer, Joint Genome Institute/Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory

Schedule

  • 6:00-6:30 pm pm - Arrive and mingle. Pizza will be served.
