World Wind Flute Circle

This gathering is mainly about playing improvised music with other world flute players, including Native American, silver, shakuhachi, phi, irish, tin whistle, xiao, dizi, ney, bansuri, ocarina, and recorder. We welcome flute/wood wind players of various traditions as a cultural exchange and learning experience. Feel free to bring any percussion instruments you may have. A lightly facilitated format involving traveling duets and trios, soloing, ostinatos, and various techniques will be used to enhance our improvisation skills. The history of various flutes will be a show and tell topic. All levels of flute experience welcome.
